Daniel 7:9: “As I looked, thrones were placed, and the Ancient of Days took HIS seat; HIS clothing was white as snow, and the hair of HIS head like pure wool; HIS throne was fiery flames; its wheels were burning fire.”
Aligning with HIS SPIRIT!
Memory and Imagination meet with pasts and futures to display.
Then Regret shows up in both as well as Joy for triumphs gained.
Even so comes Expectation bound with Hope to see HIS face…
Though the days surrounding linger with Sin’s painful aftertastes.
So my Soul! Crave now no longer lesser things from History’s pages…
and press in towards the Ancient of all Days with zealous praises!

Devotional: Daniel 7:13: “I saw in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven there came one like a son of man,
…and he came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before him.”
Daniel 7:22: “…until the Ancient of Days came, and judgment was given for the saints of the Most High,
…and the time came when the saints possessed the kingdom.”
Looking back daily might seem prudent, smart and even appearing as “common sense”.
But the challenge is the cost…which is Time.
If we languish in past mistakes, we miss future opportunities.
If we treat mistakes too lightly, we miss the learning GOD would have us gain.
Consider Isaiah 11:2 “And the SPIRIT of the LORD shall rest upon him, the Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding, the Spirit of Counsel and Might, the Spirit of Knowledge and the fear of the LORD.”
So we must apply ourselves to align with these 7 Spirits: First is the SPIRIT of the LORD,
…then of Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Might, Knowledge and the Fear of the LORD.
Therefore we must know when to look back and for how long. Again…we must!
Why? Because the ONE WHO holds all Time in HIS hand is coming quickly.
JESUS! The ONE WHO is looking for those whose hands
…and hearts are filled with reverent service for the Ancient of Days!
