Hebrews 5:14 “But strong meat belongs to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”
Spiritually Designed…to Mature!

It makes sense that
Life passes
with Nourishment’s absence.
Even more so our
strength comes
from total Surrender!
To JESUS, of course!
Yet has our
hunger faded…where
none of the
meat of HIS WORD
meets our lips?
If so then…how stand
we? On milk’s
temporal presence?
Without any
depth past Confession’s
first word?
Nay, the truth is by
study of Scripture
we feast on such
substance resembling
in part what’s to come.
HIS banqueting table!
So do not reject
what HE spoke which
will grow all those
not just on milk!
As HIServant studying and praying like yourself, adding more meat to my bones so this soul shall stand strong,

Devotional: 1 Corinthians 3:2 “I fed you with milk, not solid food, for you were not ready for it. And even now you are not yet ready…”

The Milk: Represents the foundational basics of faith, meant for spiritual “infants” or beginners.
This includes stories, simple teachings, and initial salvation concepts.
The Meat (Solid Food): Represents advanced, rigorous theology.
It requires active effort, spiritual maturity, and “chewing” (meditating) to digest and apply DAILY!
We read in 1 Corinthians 3:2 “I fed you with milk, not solid food, for you were not ready for it. And even now you are not yet ready…”
Consider also 1 Peter 2:2-3 “Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation— if indeed you have tasted that the LORD is good.”
The dangers of routine “fellowship” with our SAVIOUR then…is that the milk of the word can become all we hunger for…all that we want.
Hebrews 5:13-14 “For every one that uses (drinks, craves only) milk is unskillful in THE WORD of righteousness: for they’re an infant.”
“But strong meat belongs to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”
We might take from this passage in Hebrews that physical age is the sole determining factor. But no…not at all!
It’s pointing out that where we are to get to…is the meat section to pick up and consume our daily portion.
Milk requires no chewing, no exercise. It can be dropped into our mouths and simply swallowed WITHOUT STUDY.
Those who have been CHRISTians awhile must not be found on just a liquid diet.
We have been spiritually designed…to mature, amen?
Now is not the time to be steeped in routine with undisciplined steps which don’t keep pace with CHRIST.
But for those who are new to CHRIST, drink of the milk of THE WORD.
And hunger and thirst for Wisdom by pressing on!
Yes, study relentlessly to be found mature…at any age!
Amen and amen.
