Help us, LORD,
despise this flesh
past all the points
of past regrets.
For we digress,
regress and
stumble
more than Self
can dare admit.
To embrace THEE so we long;
for THY presence,
most hungry…yes!
What peace is in
reach as we seek
THEE…
being freed from
clutches of Death!

Devotional: Romans 8:7 “For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to GOD, for it does not submit to GOD’s law; indeed, it cannot.”
We can’t look back like Lot’s wife nor with such regret that we stop moving forward.
We quickly repent each time because!
Our relationship with CHRIST requires…engagement.
It requires Humility, and Contrition with a trembling at HIS WORD.
True, spiritual progress then depends on our constant surrender.
We achieve this by directly picking up our own cross to follow HIM every morning.
Let me be clear.
That takes zealous discipline and hard work because…
The battle is part of the CHRISTian walk.
Ephesians 6:12 “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood,
but against the rulers, against the authorities,
against the cosmic powers over this present darkness,
against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”
And! The battle belongs to the LORD, yes!
But we are to actively move forward…
and not to hang around in the background.
So if no one’s shared that with you yet, I apologize.
But we are to ever fight the good fight of Faith on the frontlines of life…
WHOLLY TRUSTING in JESUS WHO saved us for eternity!
So…press on in HIS Love!!
