2 Timothy 2:4 “No soldier gets entangled in civilian pursuits, since his aim is to please the one who enlisted him.”
Denying Comfort’s Preferences!

A generic statement is a wide net that’s cast
for various reasons which can’t be specific.
Like for catching those souls who bear guilt yet are silent…
Or just to address a great crowd with some thoughts.
But GOD speaks directly to all being sinners.
No white-washed indictments nor diluted statements.
Rather calls HE “Repent! Turn away! Then speak with ME,
Throughout every day to gain detailed instructions!
As HIServant learning from all the examples in GOD’s WORD to just follow HIM with most zealous of heart,

Devotional: Psalm 37:23-24 “The LORD makes firm the steps of the one who delights in HIM;
though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with HIS hand.”
Luke 7:41-43 “41“A certain moneylender had two debtors. One owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty.”
42 When they could not pay, he cancelled the debt of both. Now which of them will love him more?”
Simon answered, “The one, I suppose, for whom he cancelled the larger debt.”
And HE said to him, “You have judged rightly.”
HIS definition of love doesn’t line up with ours.
Better said, our perception of what HIS love is…is regularly incorrect.
Therefore, let us consider the phrase.
“Say what you mean and mean what you say.”
And JESUS did just that.
How does one daily align themselves with HIS steps?
How can a soul be “on track” with HIM if they don’t compare their walk with HIS and…make adjustments?
Regular acts of Repentance AREN’T trying to earn Heaven NOR do they doubt HIS finished work.
In no way!
It’s all all all about our deepening (or decreasing) relationship with the LORD!
Which do we consciously choose throughout the day?
What did CHRIST say about who loved HIM most?
The key word actually is love and the key path to displaying greater love to HIM is to realign quickly.
I submit to you that showing sacrifical, devotional love isn’t done with just a casual 1 minute prayer here and there.
Rather! Heartfelt repentance is a sincere concession filled conversation with THE KING.
There’s awe and respect…the fear of GOD even… embedded with our time with HIM.
But if that’s honestly lacking, then so too is realignment, re-adjusting and repenting.
HE tells us to draw closer always, amen?
So let us never grow complacent nor cold where being anywhere “off track” is our comfortable preference!
Spoken most of all to myself because HE faithfully called and eternally enlisted me.
“How much do you love ME, Child?”
Amen and amen.
