John 15:16 (Discipleship and Purpose): “You did not choose ME, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit…”
Heavenly Advancement!
Both given to Moses and Aaron
were appointed assignments with anointed delivery.
Yet in both of them saw we misgivings and error.
In retrospect, are we found different?
Are we not chosen by HIM for deeds greater than these?
So what stops or prevents us with greatest of interests?
It’s lacking belief in one’s calling!
Did HE not use unstructured and commonplace servants
Did HE not still draw worship from those often falling?
So rise up and believe in the mantle HE gave you;
casting off every doubt with each dawn AND all day!
Then as HIS anointed appointment you’ll prosper!

Devotional: Romans 13:1 “Let every person be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except from GOD, and those that exist have been appointed by GOD.”
There was a pastor named A.A. Allen. His full name was Asa Alonso Allen (March 27, 1911 – June 11, 1970), he was an American Pentecostal evangelist known for his faith healing and deliverance ministry.
Many healings work through him as many came to be healed by the anointing GOD had on his life.
And near the end of his life he wound up transitioning the message of repentance and deliverance more so into the prosperity gospel.
But he died from acute liver failure brought about by extensive alcoholism.
He died divorced and alone with his alcohol in a hotel room at just 59 years of age.
As that’s the same age I am today, my thoughts drift like perhaps yours as well. It’s a question we should ask of ourselves.
“What might he have truly done for the LORD if he’d not leaned on the bottle for his peace?”
To us both: “What might we stop doing in order for the LORD to do greater through us than what HE’s already done?”
We can see GOD’s appointing power sought for in the prayer of Isaac’s servant whom he sent to find a wife for from his own kin.
Genesis 24:44 “and who will say to me, “Drink, and I will draw for your camels also,” let her be the woman whom the LORD has appointed for my master’s son.’
He sought for the LORD to choose and not his own flesh.
As such, we run into a dilemma of man’s anointing versus GOD’s.
Many pastors view church solely as a paycheck they can grow instead of exclusively being humble to the calling GOD placed on their lives.
Aggressively pursuing a title must be done with Isaiah 66:2 firmly in mind.
Without out, one risks the burnout and fall away of so many before them.
What’s of most importance is that GOD uses whomsoever HE will.
I saw a video of a woman who had died for several minutes. She had administered healings, preaching the Gospel but lived a different life.
When she died, GOD showed her hell.
As her feet were about to touch the flames she cried out HIS NAME and she was back in her bedroom.
GOD spoke to her saying, “I heal for MY NAMESAKE, not because of your touch.”
Essentially, “Get right with me for your peace and don’t lean on works that I do through you for your validation”.
So my next question to us is: “What are you leaning on?
The everlasting arms? A chemical / pharmaceutical habit to “cope” or “ease the pain” above devoted prayer to the GOD of all Creation?
Moses and Aaron were surely appointed and had anointing but failed to enter the promised land.
Now in my own opinion, I see their absence from the promised land as purposed.
The Law cannot enter where HIS Crimson grace must be given all the credit.
The Law says, “I’m better than you are” while Grace says, “You’re MINE because I paid your price in full!”
I’ll end with these verses. 3 John 1:1-4 “The elder to the beloved Gaius, whom I love in truth.
2 Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.
3 For I rejoiced greatly when the brothers came and testified to your truth, as indeed you are walking in the truth.
4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.”
Here the Apostle John praised Gaius, a church member who was loyal during a time of rebellion against Church leaders.”
No mention of money, another house, or anything other than closeness with JESUS.
So a review of the last verse of the poem I wrote above…
“So rise up and believe in the mantle HE gave you;
casting off every doubt with each dawn AND all day!
Then, as HIS anointed appointment, you’ll prosper!
HOW we daily prosper in CHRIST is through constant humility.
Those verses in 3rd John were written then to one elder named Gaius who was
…humble and persevering during a time when disloyalty was happening all around.
It was about how his soul prospered BY continuing to stand with JESUS in the faith!
So let us relentlessly look for the greater blessings of closeness with CHRIST rather than of any other person or thing.
We are appointed to produce the fruits of the SPIRIT, amen?
Yes! Believe in your calling, oh my Soul!
Rise up in faith and humility showing all that your walk is one of total surrender!
