Psalm 111:10 “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. HIS praise endures forever!
Fearing Faithfully!
Zealous fear of GOD restrains us from sinning.
It’s the depth of HIS footprints which restrain us from slipping.
Which prevent us from falling and keep us from sinning!
For HIS WORD plainly shows this in Exodus 20,
…in the 20th verse there find we Truth’s entry.
“Fear GOD now; HIM follow…with Reverence intently!
So it shall go well with your souls!

Devotional: Proverbs 8:13 “The fear of the LORD is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate.”
So in Exodus 20:20 “Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid; for GOD has come in order to test you,
…and in order that the fear of HIM…
[that is, a profound reverence for HIM]
…will remain with you, so that you do not sin.”
What was happening at that moment?
Two monumental events!
One: GOD had just given them HIS Ten Commandments.
Two: HIS presence had come down on a massive scale, completely dominating and consuming the top of Mt Sinai.
This terrible sight momentarily overwhelmed the Israelites’ self sufficient pride.
I just wrote “Altar Ego” yesterday and posted it and such speaks against the pride of Self.
But the Israelite’s now knew the law.
Since it was brought directly with crashing thunder, an intense display of fire and storm,
The weight of personal accountability and the “visual” of GOD’s commanding presence,
they literally had “the fear of GOD” put in them!
But what about us today?
Do we still hunger and thirst for HIS presence and HIS ways?
Is our visible zeal for CHRIST more or less than Yesterday’s levels?
All flesh fails.
But those whose eyes and heart are fixed upon CHRIST without any thread of compromise…
Such will walk in the fear of the LORD and in HIS favor!
Choose wisely, fear HIM faithfully!
