Psalms 19:14 “May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to YOU, O LORD, my ROCK and my REDEEMER!”
GOD knows my Shepherd,
YESHUA the SON,
with HIS SPIRIT these THREE

can’t, by Flesh, be explained.

For what profit be

some verse where the “white

So pick up HIS WORD

As HIServant reminded NOT to use HIS WORD as a weapon against others,
Devotional: 2 Timothy 2:15 “And take care of yourself, that you present yourself perfectly before GOD as a laborer without shame, who accurately preaches the WORD of Truth.”
SWORD Study is a daily “MUST!” for the Christian. “HIS WORDS Only!” is the topic of a recent poem and devotional HE gave me.
It’s easy to fall into the trap of trying to fill in the gaps between and inside of verses.
For instance, the Trinity. I’ve been reading and studying the Bible since I was a young child. BUT…I can’t hotly debate exactly how the Trinity works without any fear of contradiction.
I can tell you the verses I know and we can discuss them openly. But to use the Bible as a weapon against the Body and the Lost who ask questions…is wrong. It’s errant.
Consider Psalms 119:105. Does it even remotely sound like a great offensive weapon verse to you?
“THY WORD is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”
Looks like a guiding instrument for us on our own paths and to help lead others to the clear Truths HE defines.
Matthew 4:4 “But HE answered, “It is written, ‘Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of GOD.’”
Yes, we love and live by HIS infallible WORD and NOT by our personal leaning on the “grey areas” and “white spaces” HE intentionally placed in the Scriptures.
Titus 3:9 “But avoid foolish debates, genealogies, quarrels, and disputes about the law, because they are unprofitable and worthless.”
Consider also 1 Timothy 1:5-6 “But the sum of The Commandments is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience and from true faith. Some of them have strayed from these things and have turned people away to empty words…”
So as discerning and wise Christians, we do well to apply the following verse. Psalms 19:11 sings…
“THY WORD have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against THEE!”
No Flesh can build on the Foundation of CHRIST’s WORD as well as their own words! Just GOD’s Holy Scriptures!
“Ah, but doesn’t Hebrews 4:12 state “For the WORD of GOD is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating even as far as the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrows, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”?
Yes it does. But by carefully and humbly sharing HIS WORD, we see here that HIS WORD is the ACTIVE force…not Whitney’s assumptions and personal interpretations of HIS WORD!
2 Timothy 3:16-17 “Every scripture is inspired by GOD and useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the person dedicated to GOD may be capable and equipped for every good work.”
We are vessels outpouring HIS message in love, even in correction. And therein lies the “bottom line” if you will.
Though having written thousands of Christian poems and devotionals with scriptural references as is seen here, if all my temporal words succeed in doing is getting you to read HIS WORD and grow in grace to drink more than milk but also the meat of the WORD…then Hallelujah!!!
Matthew 10:13 “And if that household is worthy, your blessing of peace will come upon it, but if not, your blessing of peace will return unto you.”
As we share, contrary opinions to our own often arise in church and in Life. As we share, some will be adamant that you change your belief on a verse to theirs.
If a discussion cannot take place in love, avoid then “foolish debates” and “quarrels”. Leave Pride at the door, come into church humble and expectant. Not for your will to be done but HIS!
Lastly, one more verse.
Luke 6:45 “A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart.”
So!! HE pours in, we pour out…being careful then to not stand on our own words, our own persuasions. Being careful to correct in love as HE instructs, to encourage others and to daily be HIS “broken and contrite” lights to all.
Yea, live graciously as HIServants shining only the pure light of Life of
Amen and amen!
