Job 23:10 “But HE knows the way that I take; when HE has tested me, I will come forth as gold!”
Of Extreme Worth!
We ask for YOUR touch while begging for blessing; whilst craving this life to no longer face wrestling. No more to be found in between these extremes; rather seen without chains, suffering hearts or retreats!
But such is not real nor meant for our days…as HE planned us to change by transforming our ways. So, as consequence, trials remold us with fire by severing Lukewarm’s veiled comforts and styles.
Therefore! Cured in HIS flames separating the dross, we take part in HIS sufferings and take up our cross! Thus through Life’s raging heats and its bone splitting colds we are tried in HIS hands…and shall come forth as gold!
As HIServant in your service, reminded to embrace HIS assigned extremes,
Devotional: Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge HIM, and HE will make straight your paths.”
Talk about extreme success to extreme loss. That’s Job. But to tell me to “Enjoy my troubles? Embrace my trials?”, I’d have to ask. “What’s in your orange juice?” 🙂
Here’s an ironic set of statements. We want far less “molding into HIS image” pains and far more painless “tweaks”.
But the tired cliche’, “No pain, no gain!” applies quite well. We AREN’T in HIS image now AND it will take HIS supernatural act to make us so. In this life there ARE tragedies, injuries, countless injustices and wrongs. There are also wonderful moments of success and gain, hopefully far more spiritually than materially.
So remembering Hebrews 12:16, “The Lord corrects the people HE loves and disciplines those HE calls HIS own.”, we are told in advance that correction will come because we are flesh, with an old nature that only sins.
There is no way to avoid it. Our new nature can’t sin so it wars moment by moment with HIS SPIRIT within us. So rather than beg for trials to be removed, perhaps we should ask for Wisdom to see HIS hands working evidently in our lives. Yes!
As we go through this life of major extremes, REST…in that fact HE does all things together for our good. Though weeping may last for the night, Joy comes in the morning! Psalms 30:5.
Praise and trust HIM in every storm for HE has a perfect transformational purpose…regardless of the challenge! And HE does make our paths straight in HIS ways.
Amen and amen!
