Philippians 2:3-4 “Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.”
Filled with Outpourings!
Once Time began, every blessing received would have one who pours out and another who drinks.
In THY NAME so we pray being drawn incomplete…to serve gifts which were fashioned within us.
Yet the “lack” which remains is intentionally set so that Longing would draw us to fill every gap.
Hence, Salvation is daily experienced wholly by sharing HIS message of Hope without Doubts!
So the “end” of ourselves brings the best outpoured gifts
where CHRIST’s favor connects both the “sick” with the servant.
Then coupled HIS blessings extended in pairs for all health in this life!
Therefore! Empty your vessel!
As HIServant outpoured and outpouring,
Devotional: Philippians 2:5-7 “Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in CHRIST JESUS, WHO, although HE existed in the form of GOD, did not regard equality with GOD a thing to be grasped, but emptied HIMSELF, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men.”
Outpourings of self which are yet held within do not equate to a storehouse of personal blessing. Like manna gathered for more days than GOD instructed, it spoiled.
So to HIS blessings meant for others…become as valuable as rotten meat when we withhold our GOD-given gifts from the Body.
Luke 6:38 “Give and it will be given to you in good measure, pressed down and overflowing, they shall cast into your lap. For with what measure you measure it will be measured to you.”
First, this is not about material gain, much less money. Let us read the whole passage in context. It’s rather about judgment, forgiveness and worrying about our own issues (plank in eye) instead of pointing out the faults (speck in eye) of those around us.
Having said that, what a well known passage it is as I draw our attention to the object or, in this life’s case, to the receiver of our giving. Yes, we serve others but ultimately we are giving our GOD given gifts back to HIM…through outpouring them upon others.
This is truly the selfless way CHRIST exampled for us before, on and after Calvary. Not being constantly critical and when doing so, doing it with HIS love and not with our agenda and personal feelings.
So! When we pour our favor and goodness on others in the manner of HIS example, then! THEN we gain oil overflowing out vessels! And…being daily consistent in this approach mean our oil (meant for others) never grows stagnant and never loses its value or intended blessing.
As such, pour out without fear of being emptied and rather serve relentlessly without hesitation knowing that our oil source is CHRIST and HIS flow of favor THROUGH us is unending!
Amen and amen!
