Looking Up…through HIS WORD!

Luke 21:28 “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up and lift up your heads; for your redemption draws near!”

Looking Up…through HIS WORD!

By no more than HIS grace
found no less than forgiven
of all our mistakes, so we
humbly rejoice!

Beyond whole surrender, before Breathing’s birth; placed as
HIS Beloved through CHRIST’s
sovereign will.

Surpassing “Enough!”
then exceedingly great
is our GOD. So awake…
for HIS coming draws nigh!

Crave the meat and not milk,
of HIS WORD so then opened,
your eyes see the LORD as
HE comes to us…running!

As HIServant daily reading and studying the Bible with you,

Devotional: Luke 15:20 “So he returned home to his father. And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him.

Start by replacing the “he” of the prodigal son with “we”, HIS prodigal children. Then, rather than this comparison story, read about how our FATHER is coming to us quickly…through the clouds! On white horses which are running towards us for our promised redemption, returning Home!

Now we see that the father was watching for his child. Notice that CHRIST also Is ready, looking and expectant as HE willl soon come through the sky!

So my question (to self most of all) is: “Are you TRULY expectant?”

The cares and obligations of this world distract us incessantly; both constantly diluting and confusing our sight from wholly focusing on CHRIST.

The father in the account was a busy man with tons of obligations and tasks to do. But we gather he was always watching because even when his child was “far away”, he saw him. That requires great awareness and discipline to be ready at any time.

So both in this Scriptural story of the Prodigal’s return as well as evidenced in Revelation of the CHRIST’s return for us prodigals, is one of awareness, preparedness and urgency.

The father in Luke 15 didn’t wait for the prodigal son to reach him. He ran to the boy!

You’ll agree that CHRIST’s return for us means HE is prepared, aware of everything, and is coming with urgency to rescue us from the wrath to come.

So be aware and readied by looking through the 20/20 vision “glasses” of HIS holy WORD. Most importantly, be most zealous with visible urgency so that others will become the same.

Amen and amen!
