Philippians 1:21, 23, 24 “For to me, to live is CHRIST and to die is gain. I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with CHRIST, which is better by far but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body.“
CHRIST’s horse is at ready, its
reins in HIS hands. Needless
strands for direction, unlike us.
As HE reigns overall, so our
hearts kneel, re-humbled…
with bit and with bridle
surrendered to JESUS.
I long to be freed from this saddle of Flesh without bonds
as my eyes yearn for Glory!
Yes! Unchained where Self’s
shackles no longer restrain me…
and each step with each breathes
runs only towards HIM!
Within HIS WORD’s pictures, how
lost is each thought which, with
prayer, creates deeper visions!
Wholly shred then Self’s
doubt with great shouts of
HIS praise; freely broken till finally we see HIM…in Heaven!
As HIServant freely sharing the vision and expectation of Glory,
Devotional: 2 Corinthians 5:1-2 “For we know that when this tent we live in — our body here on earth — is torn down, GOD will have a house in heaven for us to live in, a home HE HIMSELF has made, which will last forever.”
This is our guaranteed Hope, secured by Calvary, as HE has prepared Heaven for us and we serve now with all joy and zeal because HE loves us and lives IN us!
5:2 “While we are here on earth, we sigh because we want to live in that heavenly home.”
Is this the cry of your soul as well? Is it a daily expectation which compels you to greater things in the gifts HE has sovereignly given you? Though
I sigh in unison, my thoughts
are reminded to serve without hesitation. Such is HIS expectation of us…and what
an endless, compelling joy
then awaits us in Glory!
2 Corinthians 4:16 “Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day!”
As we watch our earthly bodies age, HE renews our New Nature/New Man daily. HE grants us blessed strength to go through Life’s harsh storms and encourage others as well!
2 Timothy 4:6-8 “For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the LORD, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved HIS appearing.”
Oh, to serve HIM daily and give others the meat of HIS WORD! Oh to break from all Complacency and be free as we get closer to the finish line! Yes, keep the faith oh my soul. Grant us wisdom for every word we are to speak.
LORD JESUS, help us to clearly see YOUR hands working evidently each day as we pray to understand YOUR specific will for each of us. We submit to YOUR eternal plan afresh today.
Philippians 3:20-21 “But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the LORD JESUS CHRIST WHO, by the power that enables HIM to bring everything under HIS control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like HIS glorious body!”
Rejoice then, beloved brothers and sisters! We are citizens of Heaven walking through this life in HIS service on our way back HOME!
Amen and amen!
