Saving “Paper”!
Words written in ink aren’t
so permanently based.
since “erased” they become
with the passage of time.
Though paper remain with
such stains scribed upon them,
it’s the memory of such which
fades all but from Sight.
Save one parchment, one book
which is HIS Holy Scripture!
The words of our LORD
JESUS CHRIST…crimson etched!
Bound perfect, unerring,
transferred by HIS SPIRIT;
eternally found then in hearts
which HE blessed!
So how endless each
sentence which never “runs on”
having context within
every red-lettered phrase…
for each promise HE made
seen on pages so hallowed,
was penned before Time
upon tablets of clay.
Thus was each line
“rewritten” on animal skins as
blest copies of Truth which
man had not yet seen.
Still the moment HE lightened
our eyes, then we knew that
CHRIST’s content within matched
these scripts which we read!
Hence Belief, ever growing,
combines all the Faithful
and draws them in sovereign
next steps through HIS crimson.
Therefore! Trust your AUTHOR
WHOSE hand-inscribed message
paired parchments AND hearts
in HIS children…for Heaven!

Devotional: Ephesians 1:15-18 “Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the LORD JESUS, and love unto all the saints, cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; that the GOD of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, the FATHER of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of HIS calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints…”
It’s HIS WORD and GOOD NEWS which HE revealed to us. But until HIS revealing, we were in darkness…never desiring to leave the shadows. Until HIS opening of the eyes of our heart, we loved the darkness and had no ability to leave either…being dead in our trespasses and sins.
1 Corinthians 2:9-10 “Rather, as it is written: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no heart has imagined, what GOD has prepared for those who love HIM.” But GOD has revealed it to us by the SPIRIT. The SPIRIT searches all things, even the deep things of GOD.”
What’s beyond comprehension is that HE wrote Heaven on our hearts. What I mean is HIS SPIRIT bears witness with our spirit. When HE intervenes by introducing HIMSELF to us, even sometimes like HE did with Paul, then when we READ HIS WORD…it comes alive! HIS love comes alive to our souls! But to unopened eyes and unenlightened hearts, the preaching of the Cross is foolishness. Ephesians 1:18.
So what Joy fills this soul BECAUSE HE chose me, drew me to HIMSELF, and paid my entire sin debt on the cross. (where GOD’s full wrath fell upon CHRIST which satisfied the Law.) So when one first reads the WORD with an enlightened heart, tears of Joy fill the soul.
It is such sweet surrender to know that we have been redeemed wholly by HIS blood and that HE has forever loved us from before Time. HIS gift of Faith and HIS SPIRIT’s embrace have prepared our hearts so that now, when we hear and read the WORD preached, we rejoice.
John 10:27-28 “MY sheep hear MY voice, and I know them, and they follow ME: and I give them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of MY hand.”
Hallelujah! We know our FATHER’s voice and follow HIM because we have been led solely by HIS SPIRIT and thus saved by HIS great grace! AND no one or thing can ever take from those beautiful, nail scarred hands!
