The Warmest House
Are our sweaters “threadbare” and our coats without warmth?
Do we notice the cold beneath layers of cloth?
Do the fires of life wield inadequate flames…fanning chills through the warmest of airs?
It is since all our fabrics are largely man-made.
Hence the flicker of life which we feel is so thin.
Thus the light we reflect burns quite dimly as such…without warming nor warning the Lost.
Be wrapped then, Beloved, in HIS heavenly strands;
our apparel, as such, is HIS righteousness — sewn!
Choose alone by HIS robes to be clothed then — most wholly
and bask in HIS warmth apprehending the cold!

Devotional: 2 Corinthians 5:21: “For our sake HE made HIM to be sin WHI knew no sin, so that in HIM we might become the righteousness of GOD.
In this earthly tent, we have gain, pain, loss and pleasure. Those which temporarily cause Discomfort are welcomed offcasts. Those which briefly bring Joy are instantly missed and watched for… expectant of a soon return.
But being still found in this tent of flesh, we continue to experience both offensive heat and bone chilling cold. Such are “compellings”, directing our gaze to CHRIST alone.
In so doing, we again compare what we will wear fully on that glorious instant of HIS return…to this earthly apparel. Yes, in so doing, we see the great gap between just as the great divide which exists between us and GOD…if not for the CROSS!
But what wondrous expectation and what gracious provision of HIS warmth as HIS wings surround us with eternal grace and love!
We must also be diligent in remaining by HIS side and not wondering off. Consider perhaps the most important reminder to us regarding being closest to HIS Fire.
Revelation 3:16 “But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of MY mouth!” So be warmed by HIS eternal flames, steering clear of those “strange fire” alternatives like in Leviticus 10:1. Obviously GOD warns us that other “warmth” sources and other “cloaks” of righteousness ARE NOT acceptable.
Rejoice then that HE paid it all! Give HIM all praise and rest in CHRIST’s beautiful truths. Feel the perfect blanket of HIS knowledge that we shall be one day clothed with more than HIS righteousness! Forever warmed, blessed and kept…in HIS love!
