Sea Sight!
There are waves of unrighteousness surging like sea-billowed rolls.
Found without any chains or restraints so the wicked sail onward.
Uncaring for Truth nor aware that the Darkness surrounds them…
still such vessels proceed through those waters which lead into Hell.
With defiant, raised fists driven higher by Pride so they race through the shadows yet never emerging.
Ever pressing the edges but never escaping till “life without CHRIST” means their Blindness — eternal.
Thus remove from your eyes every scale of the world; cast off “sightless” distractions and arrogant views!
Then HIS waves filled with peace will outweigh those of Sorrow as we each sing aloud, “It is well with my soul!”

Devotional: “It is well with my soul” was a song birthed out of agony. Extreme loss had befallen the author of these lyrics who’d learned his children had drowned at sea.
Though the life of Horatio Alger had both major physical, emotional and financial devastations, it is this song of strength which we remember most of all about him.
Great words and creativity are often stirred up during such painful times. Then, like the “fish” scales which fell from Saul’s eyes…so too the temporary distractions which steal our strengths also fall away WHEN we fix our eyes upon JESUS.
As an ongoing reminder to all, turn aside from all the trappings of this world. Read HIS WORD daily. Be passionate about knowing HIM in a deeper way, every hour.
THEN! With such consistency, no one need come to our door to restore our sight. We will not have “lost” it beneath the possessions of this life. Rather we shall be those which go out and enlighten others!
Matthew 28:19-20 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the FATHER and of the SON and of the HOLY SPIRIT and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I AM with you always, to the very end of the age.” HALLELUJAH!
What supernatural sight we have; what wonderful vision and guaranteed Hope is ours…from HIM! So give others the same gift of “seeing CHRIST”!
