1 John 3:2 “Beloved, now we are children of GOD, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when HE appears, we will be like HIM, because we will see HIM just as HE is!”
For: Given Grace!
When beneath Love’s open hand rebuked, bow surely.
To rise above Depression’s weight, embrace HIS power.
Beside the LORD be found in step — without exception.
Yea! Bend the knee, Beloved! Both then and now.
Although simplistic seem these words within our vessels,
hold fast! HIS WORD — alive and pure — is never failing!
As such, reserved for us to daily eat and drink from
are HIS truths as Life’s instructional engravings!
Therefore HIS ways bring both Love’s grace with planned corrections;
With hands which strip away our faults as dross — discarded!
What compassions HE outpours through WORD and deed, our sovereign LORD…
WHOSE cross transformed our seeds from birth into HIS harvest!
Yea! From darkness into Light by Grace — imparted!
As HIServants we are, awaiting the MASTER of the field,
Devotional: For: Given Grace! We have been birthed by CHRIST. Now, because of HIS gift of Grace to us, we are ripe harvest who await our LORD and MASTER!
And as we journey through Life, we grow through periods of valleys as well as mountain moments of HIS pure sunshine. HIS ways bring us through both and both are sovereignty purposed.
How often, oh Self, do you run from the valleys HE’s drawn you to? Only to find out later that THAT was the only path through to the mountaintop which you so desperately sought? How often?
HE trains us for Heaven as we live here and there will be (to us) countless hours of “dross-scraping” where HE removes those things of the world which we have attached to ourselves.
He will also provide other times of restoring, polishing and renewal. Although these times might seem far less than the painful, transformative periods…both are required.
And!! Both will bring about growth within us when we’re fully surrendered to HIS ways. Embrace Ephesians 2:8 “For it is by HIS grace that we have been saved through faith, and this faith was not from you, but it is the gift of GOD.”
Couple this with Hebrews 12:2 “Looking unto JESUS the Author and Finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before HIM endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of GOD!
For: Given Grace AND Faith!!! By HIS finished work we shall reach Heaven and pass over into HIS rest.
So embrace the journey of transformation through it all..into HIS perfect image, oh my soul!
Amen and amen!
