The Forte’ of the Gentiles!

Romans 12:11 “Do not lack diligence in zeal; be fervent in the SPIRIT, serve the LORD!”

The Forte’ of the Gentiles!

Surging power propelled through his veins.

Servant ink, then outpoured, filled these pages.

With praise overflowing from him who bowed — broken,

such Truths thus were penned — for the Ages.

By the Ancient of Days — whole compelled

so Paul’s lips inscribed letters from Glory.

Being moved by The SPIRIT’s outstretched open hands

inscribing with Zeal — his forte’!

Yes, the “Greatest of Stories” proclaiming,

as GOD’s bondservant steadfastly preaching!

We, therefore, as Gentiles have Hope for Tomorrow

because through HIS WORD, HE keeps speaking!

As HIServant with Zeal inscribing,

Devotional: Dictionary.com defines FORTE’ as: A person’s strong suit, or most highly developed characteristic, talent, or skill; something that one excels in.”

2 Timothy 4:2 “Preach the WORD and stand with diligence, in season and out of season; reprove and rebuke with encouragement, long-suffering and teaching.”

Being sent to the Gentiles, Paul did not hold back the GOOD NEWS from us nor did he do so with less interest or intensity.

Some thought that his letters were very intense but were disappointed that, in person, he wasn’t impressive. That he didn’t “sound” face-to-face” like he did in his letters.

Such is the dilemma of the Faith today. In line with yesterday’s two devotions, we must pay attention to the WORD, not the one reading it.

We see the compassion and love of GOD all through the Bible. Yet if we get disappointed because the messenger looks less than our expectations…then we’re not focused solely on the WORD.

Paul’s zeal and given forte’ was to preach boldly against those rejecting CHRIST and HIS grace. We don’t see him here but we have the letters the HOLY SPIRIT spoke to him.

Thank GOD HE made a way to graft us, the wild branches as well, into HIS Vine with natural branches!

Note that we all have our forte’s for sharing the Gospel with those HE brings across our paths. Whether we recognize such giftings or not, HE does gift each of us.

So with zeal, purposed in the way that GOD uniquely gave each of us, preach CHRIST steadfastly. Compromise none of HIS WORD to placate or entertain people. The Hour is short! HE is coming, the KING of Zion is coming quickly!

Amen and amen!
