Proverbs 15:30 “The Light in the eyes [of him whose heart is joyful] rejoices the hearts of others, and Good News nourishes the bones.”
As HIS Life-Bringing Lights!
transferring HIS glow;
make beacons from tinder
and diamonds from coal.
Igniting with Love,
and fanned by great faith,
so our Source creates more
to shine for HIS NAME!
Yet “dim lights” compete
with those found ablaze!
Beneath shadows of pride,
thus jealous…are they!
But CHRIST’s lamps flourish,
whose wicks have been trimmed,
to burn brightest despite
the acts of those “dimmed”.
Reflect then, oh Self,
HIS mirror within.
Is your light lost in HIS
…or darkened by sin?
So press in, on fire,
transformed by your SOURCE
and raised…by the LORD!
As HIServant in your service,
Devotional: Matthew 5:16 “Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your FATHER WHO is in heaven.”
We are created by GOD to do good works which HE planned for our lives before Time. We are HIS reflections, well purposed as such!
2 Corinthians 4:6 “For GOD, WHO said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the ONE WHO has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of GOD in the face of CHRIST.”
So where did we learn of CHRIST? Was it an action we did while yet dead in our trespasses and sins?
Consider John 1:5 “The LIGHT shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.”
Thankfully HE opened our lifeless hearts to hear HIS message and exclusively in power, drew us to HIMSELF.
Then! HIM WHO we COULD NOT comprehend…gave us spiritual life as well!
Being sovereignly ignited, our purpose is not merely for self-lighting.
Rather, being raised by HIS strength, we are powerful beacons who brightly burn for CHRIST with HIS holy fire!
So, in small part, like a visible torch bearer carries the Hope and Spirit of the Olympic Games, we are raised in HIS hand to do likewise.
Thus shining the GOOD NEWS of HIS Gospel unto all who are yet dormant seeds —
— so go and give Light to their eyes and their hearts as HE has ordained!
Amen and amen!
