1 John 2:6 “The one who says he resides in GOD should himself walk just as JESUS walked.”
With HIS Blessed Alignment!
Every thought we wish captured and wholly aligned on the Crossroad of Faith — Calvary’s tree.
Till our only desire is CHRIST’s emptied cross reminding HE’s risen and “living in me!”
With what filter employed will we gain then such focus? How shall just HIS visions be seen?
By gleaning HIS insights from fields of Scripture AND seeding those souls found in need…
…then these blessings we seek shall ALL hearts — receive!
As HIServant reading, receiving and reseeding as instructed,
Devotional: Matthew 10:8 “Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give!”
These focused actions which bless others directly come from HIS commandment in this verse to go without taking money. To go (v. 7) and to preach that HIS Kingdom is drawing near.
Those are clear examples of “walking as JESUS walked.” Transparent directions without hidden agenda which seek the good of others above our own.
1 Corinthians 10:24 “Let no one seek his own good, but the good of his neighbor.” How then?
Acts 20:35 “In everything, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words of the LORD JESUS HIMSELF: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
Here Paul tells the spiritual leaders of the Ephesian church it’s more blessed that they give to those in need…rather than for those leaders to receive anything in return.
And to continue in this holy mindset, there is a learned practice. A discipline where our study of HIS WORD isn’t to prove our perceptions but to embrace HIS directions.
That bears repeating. Be disciplined, where the study HIS WORD isn’t to prove your perceptions of Scripture but meant to embrace HIS directions there written.
What a difference that makes in “rightly dividing the WORD of Truth” and “lining up with HIS WORD!”
Psalm 89:15 “Blessed are those who have learned to praise YOU, who walk in the light of YOUR presence, LORD.”
As such, once accepting of HIS truths and abandoning all the edits and revisionings which attempt to make it fit what we think….THEN!
Then a stable, daily walk filled with praise on our lips and service from the heart will be outpoured on all those in need.
So, in conclusion, we revisit where we started today. With 1 John 2:6.
“The one who says he resides in GOD should himself walk just as JESUS walked.”
My personal quote as such: “It is the depth of HIS footprints which restrain us from slipping!” To walk like CHRIST means to be Bereans examining HIS WORD and then going out to bless the needy.
Then. THEN….shall HIS rich blessings of peace and favor indwell us all the more. Be diligent and serve relentlessly! Amen and amen!
