With Sovereign Assessments!
The efforts we author
and offers as “CHRIST-like”
cannot be thus measured
by our own perceptions.
The path of our MASTER
thus matters completely,
comparing these steps to
HIS given before us.
May YOUR presence then. LORD…
find us wakened and waiting!
Without grading nor tape,
let us — emptied — be found!
As “Better than ever!”
our souls — although weathered
shall “Worthy!” be measured…
reflecting HIS face!
Every effort therefore
shall increase all the more
for the LORD when we serve
…without Judgement.

Devotional: Romans 12:3 “For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you should, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith GOD has distributed to each of you.”
In these two verses above, we see the common error of Self Assessment. Where we measure our efforts for CHRIST against others.
What may be a greater offense is solely “internal-graded” actions where we deceive ourselves into thinking we’re NOW humbled.
The litmus or “rubber hitting the road” test is the responses of others known to be servant leaders. Those broken and contrite, firm while forgiving and transparently truthful.
When such souls share with us selflessly, we’re spiritually drawn to their heart’s display. Why?
Because we’re in HIS steps, on HIS paths and truly looking and responding — CHRIST-like!
I conclude with two more verses spoken to myself most of all.
1 Thessalonians 5:11 “So encourage and build each other up, just as you are already doing.”
Hebrews 10-24:25 “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching!”
When our names are minimized, CHRIST’s is lifted up. When we are encouraging others, there’s no room to tear them down nor measure them as “less thans”.
And such a drive includes ourselves where we trust in GOD’s sovereign power to do anything HE chooses… knowing HE loves us with the greatest and everlasting compassions!
You and I are worthy because HE willingly sacrificed for us, paying it all! Our life’s evidences then must be serving in like manner.
With such we will be elated and ecstatic because in HIS Sovereign Assessment we shall find our personalized, Psalms 23 rest!
Verses 2 & 3 “HE makes me lie down in green pastures; HE leads me beside quiet waters. HE restores my soul; HE guides me in the paths of righteousness for the sake of HIS NAME!”
Thank YOU, JESUS…for measuring us according to YOUR finished work!
