John 8:12 “Then JESUS again spoke to them, saying, “I AM the Light of the world; he who follows ME will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life!”
CHRIST Lines!
Where I have rewritten those roads which were authored,
and stepped over the boundaries YOU perfectly drew;
then this prayer requests sovereign hands of Correction
as well as Compassion…till standing with YOU.
For rather than “Humbled” my actions chose “Errant”.
As designed, “Redirection” to me was applied.
Returned to YOUR footprints, so there I found Comfort
with Peace like a river of blessings — assigned.
Now these Crossroads no longer call out from each corner…
no more heard contrasting HIS paths — straight ahead.
For The Way and the Truth filled with Life come through HIM
WHO both scribed us uniquely and rose from the dead!
Thus HIS steps are our Source and the only way forward!
We find blessings, as such, in between sovereign lines!
Aligned, paralleled and recentered so serve we until this — Life’s journey — in Heaven meets CHRIST!

Devotional: John 12:26 “If anyone serves ME, he must follow ME; and where I am, there MY servant will be also; if anyone serves ME, the FATHER will honor him.”
Following CHRIST could be compared to water skiing. Life continually shortens the rope as we draw nearer to CHRIST.
And should we remain directly behind the boat, the turbulence is lessened and the waters, less choppy.
But if we make wide swinging motions behind the boat, everything changes.
The rope gets shortened while we still try to get to our personal interest markers…and soon enough we sink beneath the waves. Just like Peter.
1 Peter 2:21 “To this you were called, because CHRIST suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in HIS steps.”
But if we follow CHRIST directly, remaining in HIS footprints as opposed to “going in the same, general direction”, then we will be on course!
Even when the rope is shortened, we’re still keeping our eyes on and our feet in HIS steps!
Ephesians 2:10 “For we are GOD’s handiwork, created in CHRIST JESUS to do good works, which GOD prepared in advance for us to do.”
So those Crossroads of Self-Interest are OUTSIDE of CHRIST’s Lines! Indeed! Many activities done for HIM stretch us. Spread too far from HIS guidelines, then disinterest and failure occur — affecting all.
There are those tasks HE wants us to do and those others want us to do which can discourage, drain and detract us from staying in HIS steps.
Our frames have limitations and even well meaning, well intended “added-on” actions can minimize what we’re called to do.
So discern HIS steps for you specifically and carefully weigh taken on markers outside of CHRIST’s lines for your unique path.
Ephesians 5:1 “Follow GOD’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children.” Grant us, Wisdom…oh LORD!
