Colossians 1:13-14 “For HE rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of HIS beloved SON, in WHOM we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins!”
Sweet Redemption!
The stone — still rolled away — shows our sins are cleansed — now vanished!
Calvary‘s cross yet empty stands thus reminding Death is vanquished!
Its chains, remaining broken, on Golgatha’s face were strewn.
Lying waste — no more constraining HIM within that rocky tomb!
For the briefest then of instants,
HE allowed those ropes which bound!
For the shortest spans imagined…
JUST HIS body was held down!
But HE — our constant SAVIOUR — never ceased HIS intercession;
Setting captives free — completely
leading us in HIS procession!
So what joy, Beloved, awaits us when our Risen KING returning…
calls our names to join HIS presence
in the clouds! Oh, sweet Redemption!

Devotional: Ephesians 1:7 “In HIM we have redemption through HIS blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of HIS grace.
Redemption comes through HIS Blood, forgiving us of our sins and it is all because of the riches of HIS grace. Hallelujah!
And before satan tries to argue against CHRIST’s finished work and tell you you’re not worthy or not good enough nor strong enough to stay in CHRIST because we sin daily, read the following verses on eternal security.
1 Corinthians 1:26-31 “Brothers, consider the time of your calling: Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were powerful; not many were of noble birth. 27 But GOD chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; GOD chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28 HE chose the lowly and despised things of the world, and the things that are not, to nullify the things that are, 29 so that no one may boast in HIS presence.
30 It is because of HIM that you are in Christ JESUS, WHO has become for us wisdom from GOD : our righteousness, holiness, and redemption. 31 Therefore, as it is written: “Let him who boasts boast in the LORD.”
What I see is GOD chose, GOD chose, HE chose! What I read is in great contrast to the world demanding I earn Heaven instead of resting in HIM WHO chose me! Drawing me to HIMSELF!
HE chose who the world considers outcasts. Rough fishermen, corrupt tax collectors, guys with significant anger issues and so on! Thank GOD even you and me!
Let verse 30 sing to your soul for it says “It is because of HIM that you are in Christ JESUS, WHO has become for us wisdom from GOD : our righteousness, holiness, and redemption.”
Forever redeemed and eternally secure! HE IS our Redemption and John 6:44 adds to our joy!
“No one can come to ME unless the FATHER WHO sent ME draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day!”
Finally rejoice as we read John 10:24-29 together!
So the Jews gathered around HIM and demanded, “How long will You keep us in suspense? If YOU are the CHRIST, tell us plainly.”
25“I already told you,” JESUS replied, “but you did not believe. The works I do in MY FATHER’s NAME testify on MY behalf. 26 But because you are not MY sheep, you refuse to believe. 27 MY sheep listen to MY voice; I know them, and they follow ME. 28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them out of MY hand. 29 MY FATHER WHO has given them to ME is greater than all. No one can snatch them out of MY FATHER’s hand.”
What GOOD NEWS!! Verse 26 is written SPECIFICALLY to show that the reason people refuse to believe is because they AREN’T HIS. HE know HIS own and they will come to HIM.
None are lost as such whom GOD the FATHER gave to CHRIST the SON.
No one can take us out of HIS hand!
So rejoice, Beloved…for how sweet HIS Redemption is unto us!
