Selfless Steps

Choosing the Road less Traveled…

1 Peter 2:21 “For to this you have been called, because CHRIST also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in HIS steps.”

Selfless Steps

Aligned with HIS steps are the best of intentions. Then Movement arrives to press forward with Faith. But woe to those set in the other direction; whose paths run off course into darkness!

Destruction such call on themselves — never ceasing with hearts bent on action. Yet…not in CHRIST’s NAME!

So their “progress” maligns what our LORD gave at Calvary by

leaving HIS steps.

So the footprints of CHRIST yet again serve as markers; the clearest of every dividing line known! May your own set be found then as “Holy! — “Unwavering!” embedding in HIS walk…alone.

As HIServant in your service, following our LORD,

Whitney

Devotional: John 8:12 “Again JESUS spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows ME will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

The path which CHRIST walked here on earth was absent of HIM causing violence. Horrific injustice done against HIM and HE was viciously whipped and crucified for us. It was a planned murder of the LORD in no uncertain terms.

But what do we read in John 18:10? “Then Simon Peter, having a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.”

What was CHRIST’s response? HE didn’t advocate violence. Not even to spare HIMSELF. So in like manner, walking in CHRIST’s footprints mean so much more at this very hour.

While crimes and horrific injustices continue to be savagely committed in this life, our response must follow HIS.

The only uprising we are called to perform is the uplifting of HIS NAME.

Isaiah 30:20-21 “And though the LORD gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your teachers will not be moved into a corner anymore, but your eyes shall see your teachers.

Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” Whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left.”

Let us pick up our own cross and just follow JESUS. Yes! Listen to the LORD, oh my soul, and walk selflessly in HIS steps alone.

Amen and amen!
