Psalm 38:18 “For I will declare my iniquity; I will be in anguish over my sin.”
Who HE hears!
“Let me tell you what I’ve done!” is both Pride’s blatant claim and Confession’s broken cry.
But just one will attract the ear of our LORD! With HIS Rapture-like choosing, so one will be left!
Thus abandon all Pride, oh my soul, choosing rather…to hear HIS voice warmly say, “Child, well done!”
As HIServant daily reset forward with you upon HIS paths, Good and Faithful,
Devotional: 1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
What a just GOD and watchful FATHER we have! HE hears our confessions directly: there’s no need for any human translator!
Psalm 32:5 “I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD,” and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah!
Brokenness gives us a humble boldness to lay prostrate before GOD and to bask within HIS healing arms!
Romans 10:9 “Because, if you confess with your mouth that JESUS is LORD and believe in your heart that GOD raised HIM from the dead, you will be saved!”
So such audible Confession is two fold. Confessing our faults and failures and that HE is YESHUA! Our Salvation!
Theologian Charles Spurgeon said, “For a successful season of prayer, the best beginning is Confession.”
And…“Remember the man who truly repents is never satisfied with his own repentance.”
Though GOD graciously cleansed our sins away as far as the east is from the west, Confession’s Cry humbly remembers.
Within its voice as such, “Let me tell you what I’ve done!” HE hears boundless thanks given for the eternal forgiveness HE gave us! Hallelujah, Beloved!
Amen and amen!
