The .77 Cent Reminder!
If I only give to those who can give back then I’m doing a little More than exchanging the same $10 bill, over and over again.
It becomes a limited transaction where faith is not stretched and Help is not received in the truest and fullest sense as CHRIST meant it.
So tomorrow when someone asks for any form of assistance, give much more so from your heart instead of your wallet.
Extend love through listening to touch others for HIS NAME sake by Intentionally getting close enough…to do so.

Devotional: Psalm 29:2 “Give unto the LORD the glory due unto HIS NAME; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.”
That verse in Psalms 77:14 shows that HE pours out HIS strength through us…to then be poured out again upon others.
Give then as unto the LORD!
Recently I was asked to help someone. They needed a ride home and then, asked to stop for some fast food on the way.
I agreed and they called their spouse to let them know they were bringing home food.
However, my response wasn’t exactly one of joy in serving. I wasn’t in a jolly, “Good Samaritan” mindset that morning…given Life’s challenges of my own.
In addition, I’d seen this individual before and having listened to their words from a distance…my first inclination was usually “away from” and not “towards”.
But there we were at the drive through and after paying, their change was .77 cents. They looked at me and said I could keep it. Colossians 3:23-24 would later come to my mind.
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the LORD, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the LORD as a reward. It is the LORD CHRIST you are serving.”
Nodding “Thank you” for the change, we drove ½ mile and arrived at their apartment.
During which they called their spouse again to let them know that I would stop in as well to pray with them.
In my mind, I suddenly became aware of the “Why?”. Someone needed prayer and not from a distance.
They truly wanted Heaven’s Fabric (which we are) to embrace their pains with them, together asking GOD for their healing.
And sure enough, I walked in and their spouse was near the door, waiting for prayer. We prayed and then talked for 10-15 minutes.
Then as I left to the sounds of their thanks, GOD had me thinking as I got back in my vehicle.
Looking down on the console, I picked up the change I’d been given and counted it. .77 cents.
I hadn’t been asked for money, just my time and my prayer with them both…for healing.
What an amazing .77 cent reminder that was and still is!
Take then “the time” and pass along the change GOD has given you in order to CHANGE …someone else’s life!
