Custom Made: An Eternal View!
Are we retooling our earthly view in order to maintain it…as opposed to demoting it’s importance to focus much more so upon CHRIST?”
Are our interests and passions now wholly aligned with our GOD and CREATOR…WHOSE righteous WORD directs our steps to follow HIS?
As our “daily life” picture changes daily, seeing additional restraints, increased injustices and greater hatred of our LORD, do we keep trying to return the view we’d formerly been so accustomed to?
Are we found trying to go back to Egypt’s “normal” or turned around…to face our coming KING? And…are we walking alone or leading the retreat ahead of others?
Unlike any other time in History, this hour should find us serving while stretching upwards — expecting JESUS with an ever growing zeal. But our mental anchors and physical markers of Comfort and Routine can errantly combine to restrict our journey forward.
Out in the country near where we live, there’s a big house set far back from the road. Massive changes to the landscape are and have in process for months. A huge pond is being crafted and the scope of this effort is beyond expensive.
I thought to myself, “Perhaps the people moving in here just want to recreate the view they had at their previous property.”
And In that pursuit, these huge earth movers and bulldozers have been feverishly working to build a view which the landowners desire.
Or should I say “stewards” of that land? Because GOD owns it all and the view HE is bringing us EVEN NOW….cannot be found in the “here and now”. As such, longing for HIS Heavenly landscape has been too often replaced by the desire to revisit and rebuild a Past…which GOD is removing.
And HE is transforming us far more so into perfection at the Rapture so that we can enter Glory! That’s both what and WHO is up ahead! That’s where our gaze meets the SAVIOUR of our souls and satisfies our every longing!
So, oh my soul, let us look to the MASTER BUILDER of our souls and Heaven itself. Let us be found walking forward with great expectancy and child-like anticipation! HE is coming…and very, very soon!
Philippians 3:13 “Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead!”
