Psalm 18:28 “For it is YOU WHO light my lamp; the LORD my GOD lightens my darkness!”
The beauty of the LORD
is to darkness — repulsive.
HIS grace filled aroma —
a stench — to its senses.
So those clothed with shadows:
who loathe HIS glow’s presence…
find — foul — every Christian
who speaks of GOD’s love.
So what the attraction?
Shall evil draw evil?
Will clouds full of famine
and shade create sunlight?
Of course not! Yet present
such practices flourish…within
hallowed walls where HIS NAME
is claimed — sacred.
With Ritual’s death grip
and Routine’s dispassion;
so lights gray and lukewarm
are shined on the Wandering.
Would then that Zeals’ heights
exclusively were sought!
Yea, just the grandeur
of our GOD and HIS CHRIST!
nor words of the world,
then is our LORD’s face;
yea! HIS beauty — resplendent!
Thus “those souls” are drawn into
Heaven’s rays by The SON…
WHOSE Light — always leading
shines through us — transparent!
As HIServant and still being cleared glass pane,
Devotional:Ephesians 5:8 “For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the LORD. Walk as children of light!
For CHRIST’s Light to transform others, HE needs no vessel to do so. BUT GOD! HE has chosen us as HIS torches to carry HIS Light to ignite as well as re-light “those souls!”
Matthew 5:16 “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your FATHER WHO is in heaven.”
So we cannot cloud HIS Light in our glass jars with the soap of the world, the wallpaper of Self nor the artwork of others enamored with this life which is passing.
1 John 1:5 “This is the message we have heard from HIM and proclaim to you, that GOD is light, and in HIM is no darkness at all.”
So in speaking to the Lost, while cook-outs, fireworks, baseball games and such are seemingly attractive “lead-ins” to the conversation…I implore you thats there’s little time remaining for window dressing.
We must be window panes, who while never able to make ourselves clean, show HIS light in us using the clearest parts of our lives.
Therefore! Shine fully while abstaining from the world’s paint. Shine wholly avoiding mud slinging amongst believers as such creates needless camouflage in both!
John 8:12 “Again JESUS spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world. Whoever follows ME will not walk in darkness, but will have the Light of life!”
Shine HIS Light then without turning any of it upon yourself, oh my soul!
Magnify HIS NAME and HIS Light then through your life because “those souls” whom HE is presently drawing to HIMself around you…don’t need to see Life’s shadows as any part of the presentation of HIS Good News!
Amen and amen…
