HIS Way Makers!
As John was created to forge
forward CHRIST’s pathway,
so too are we destined to
preach of HIS steps.
To speak well of HIS coming
return from the Heavens,
thus have we been purposed;
the “road ahead” preaching.
Therefore now “more than ever”,
so is HIS commission!
Give such “anchors” to all
who would listen intently!
Yea, crosspoints to cling to
so on HIS road stay they!
Now boldly preach CHRIST;
“HE is coming…BE Ready!”
Prepare the Way!

Devotional: John 1:23 “He [John the Baptist] said, ‘I am a voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way of the LORD.’ as Isaiah the prophet said.'”
Preparing then the way of the LORD shows the respect and reverence we have for HIM.
How do we do this? Well, how did John accomplish this most privileged assignment?
He zealously and wholly embraced the role as a messenger of the LORD. He told others WHO HE would be and what deeds HE would do.
So! When JESUS came into town, there was a connection point for the people.
A crossroads where the knowledge of the miracles HE was doing and the wisdom HE was sharing would meet with the message that John had preached to them earlier.
“Oh! This man is said to be the Messiah! Hey, I’ve heard about HIM and that HE can do great miracles. Could John be right?”
Isaiah 40:3, “A voice is calling, ‘Clear the way for the LORD [YHWH] in the wilderness; make smooth in the desert a highway for our GOD!”
John was right, remains right and CHRIST did come and is coming again! For us!
So go and do likewise as John, who did not have the precious steps of CHRIST to walk in yet did so by the HOLY SPIRIT’s guidance!
Matthew 28:19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the FATHER and of the SON and of the Holy SPIRIT!
So endlessly be HIS zealous messenger, missionary and Way maker — preparing all for the return of our KING!
