“To see JESUS CHRIST” requires an open heart, open ears and eyes, and an expectancy which draws one to seek HIM with daily zeal.
“To see JESUS CHRIST” is an often understated privilege that is sadly shown “the next in line” status.
Because of juggling so many “objects of our attention”, we may well continue to entertain the ball called Christian Life as well as the countless others.
But it’s all so momentary for some as the overwhelming pressure feels like they can’t get out of the loop. That they can’t STOP juggling even one, spinning plate.
Yet simple reality and basic human constraints couple with Gravity until Change suddenly arrives.
At best only one “must not drop” object falls ot maybe two. Yet there are spans where everything appears to come crashing down.
Psalm 147:3 “He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds.”
Such broken feelings and fractured hopes then lie on the ground with our own “best laid” plans.
Romans 8:28 “And we know that GOD causes all things to work together for good to those who love GOD, to those who are The Called according to HIS purpose.”
Still this is where spiritual vision is momentarily clouded as we lose sight of the big picture. The biggest of all which is…”to see JESUS CHRIST.”
There are times, as such, where our juggling efforts fail just due to our limited capacity. There’s others where the defeat comes from one plate or variable that’s so much heavier than the rest.
For some this even seems like a circus act that never ends and never gets easier. So Reality and Gravity reunite once again to stop our rotating routine.
But many times it’s in this very same brokenness and “broken mess” that we see CHRIST the clearest…and the closest.
It’s because our perceptions are wholly tuned in to the only ONE WHO can rescue and heal us.
Dialed in to the only wise GOD, our SAVIOUR, JESUS CHRIST, so our view then — uncluttered!
Yes, the value of our affections and attentions which lie cracked or broken on the ground…their overall worth seems indeed PRICELESS!
But in the midst of all the shattered pieces is the ONLY ONE WHO — IS! Priceless!
Beyond comprehension, surpassing all knowledge, exceeding all the beauty of this Creation which HE made!
Psalms 30:2 “O LORD my GOD, I cried to YOU for help, and YOU healed me!” Broken parts, pieces and hearts as well..are all restored in HIS hands!
But the timing of our individual renewals…the timing is another variable all together.
And HIS timing is one on which we must wait patiently. Easier said than done, especially for those with severe and chronic pains.
So we join hands with CHRIST and each other in fervent prayer and petition.
And sometimes when we share our broken pieces within our union of three; JESUS, others and self, sometimes HE heals both of us in the same moment of prayer. ❤️
As such, my own prayer to CHRIST often is “to see YOUR hands working evidently in our lives!”
Just to know that whatever level of restoration or transformation HE has for me today, that I’ll clearly know it’s HIM!
So oh LORD! We knit our hearts and hands in unison — with all these broken pieces! YOU see how much each means to us and YOU know the timing of restoration or the removal of each.
Hence we cry out together to THEE with greatest praise on our lips for YOU are our GOD! Faithful and True! Eternally loving and endlessly present within us! Thank YOU, FATHER!
Yes, we long 2CJC, my friends! Until HE rolls the clouds back to show us HIS face, we shall press on! We will continue sharing our Hopes as well as our broken parts…expectant of HIS return!
