Mark 10:28 “Peter began to say to HIM, “Behold, we have left everything and followed YOU!”
The WHEN Exchange!
When exchanging our emptiness for CHRIST’s whole indwelling;
when donning HIS robes of pure righteousness — woven…
then Faith rises up!
But when focusing downward, retaining our Lack as if Worth; when shunning Surrender as though we can walk without GOD, then Hell is uplifted!
So I look not to Death but to
new life with CHRIST
WHEN HE changes this vessel — from clay into Light…
WHEN my LORD and REDEEMER this page HE rewrites! So!
I shall not cling to what will fade!
“Hand off” self’s baton THEN not waiting one second or longer! Yea! Inscribe your zeal daily — looking only ahead.
THEN! CHRIST’s NAME gains all Glory…alone! Yes, amen!
Devotional: Galatians 2:20 “I have been crucified with CHRIST; and it is no longer I who live, but CHRIST lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of GOD, WHO loved me and gave HIMSELF up for me.”
As the first verse in Peter highlights for us, LEAVING everything behind is essential to soaring in HIS service.
Matthew 16:24-25 “Then JESUS said to HIS disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after ME, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow ME. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for MY sake will find it.”
It can’t be any clearer. Completely divesting our vessel of all save HIS SPIRIT and HIS unique purposes for us…is the path to our highest peace and joy.
So empty your hands, oh Self, of all save your cross. WHEN we do this, WHEN we exchange all else for HIS truths…THEN we taste and see again just how great HE is!
