Revelation 1:7 “Behold, HE is coming with clouds, and every eye will see HIM, even they who pierced HIM. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of HIM. Even so, Amen!”
Through Swirling Clouds!
Oh LORD such surrounding, encircling spirits
whose driving compulsion
comes solely from hell:
these swirl with violence and great agitation as such.
Thus their presence – unwelcomed and dark.
But THY hands restrain them
with sovereignty’s power!
No force which they bring can touch those YOU protect!
So, open our eyes just as done for Gehazi (2 Kings 6:17)
and wholly consume them with their heart’s intent!
Yes, as often YOU have in the past, through The WORD;
pin such evil they meant solely back upon them!
Return then their harm as those hearts had intended…
whilst drawing us home through YOUR swirling clouds!

Devotional: 2 Kings 6:17 “And Elisha prayed, and said, “LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.”
Then the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.”
Recently I did a two-part sermon on Loving Nineveh!
We are told to love our enemies but, given the example CHRIST gave the disciples, we turn the check and then move on.
So this retrospect, hindsight prayer asks for clarity of vision to see GOD’s hands working evidently in our lives.
This petition to our LORD is for HIS vengeance to be applied AS HE draws us into Heaven.
Yet, as flesh, we tend to steadfastly look at the surrounding storm clouds, just as Gehazi did.
He couldn’t see what Elisha saw. So the man of GOD asked for that blessing of spiritual sight to be Gehazi’s as well.
Until such spiritual insight was bestowed upon Elisha’s servant, he was afraid of the enemies he witnessed…just as we often are by those encircling us.
He likely had mental images of some earthly, saving force bringing destruction coming on those foes in front of him.
But GOD! HE brought the answer through clarity of sight far more so than any other solution.
Therefore we must press onward and upward even more so today…looking closely and daily in the Bible till HIS high calling and trumpet shouts…draw us home!
