HIS Reverent Sheep!

Psalm 100:3 “Know that the LORD, HE is GOD! It is HE WHO made us, and we are HIS; we are HIS people, and the sheep of HIS pasture.

HIS Reverent Sheep!

The LORD is my SHEPHERD in WHOSE arms I lay broken. Outspokenly silent my soul is yet hoping….

…because I hold JESUS, or best said — “HE does”; O’erwhelmingly held by my Sovereign — above!

This fact then untarnished; fades not from this mind for the LORD is my SHEPHERD and I am HIS child!

As HIServant and singular sheep who seeks our MASTER with you,

Whitney

Devotional: In the story of the lost sheep whom the Shepherd tracks down and brings back to the fold, have you ever taken note of the dialogue between the two?

No? That’s because we don’t see any. That’s because in this earthly realm, sheep don’t talk.

They’re baaaa—aaad communicators. (You knew that was coming :))

When we look at the comparison GOD makes with us to sheep, the “talking points” aren’t flattering, are they?

Prone to wander, very simple minded, unclean, and so forth.

But GOD! HE calls us HIS sheep in HIS pasture! Isaiah 53:6…

“All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned — every one — to his own way; and the LORD has laid on HIM the iniquity of us all.”

So the point being punishment — which our dirty, smelly and wayward selves deserve…was placed on our Shepherd! What mercy!

Matthew 25:31 “When the Son of Man comes in HIS glory, and all the angels with HIM, then HE will sit on HIS glorious throne.

32 Before HIM will be gathered all the nations, and HE will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

33 And HE will place the sheep on HIS right, but the goats on the left.”

So you and I will be placed by HIS loving hands on the RIGHT side of eternity! Hallelujah!

Amen and amen!
