Ephesians 1:5-6 “HE predestined us for adoption to HIMSELF as sons through JESUS CHRIST, according to the purpose of HIS will, 6 to the praise of HIS GLORIOUS GRACE, with which HE blessed us in the Beloved.”
Grace > “fate”!
Whenever Fate “twists”,
who calls it — amazing?
Is it more so than Grace
from our LORD?
Unendingly — HIS
is exceedingly great;
In control of all things,
for our lives.
So rise, weary hands!
Lift your gaze, tired eyes!
No Chance nor some Fate
shall claim you!
Only CHRIST WHO is KING
has sufficient for all!
Thus trust HIS dispensing
As HIServant hourly amazed by my GOD and KING,
Devotional: 2 Corinthians 9:8 “And GOD is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.”
Think of the old game “Rock, paper, Scissors.”
In the flesh we know we “…can’t win them all” and “You win some, you lose some.”
As such, Chance and Fate “appear” as if viable forces that we are to battle in the pursuit of being blessed.
Again read 2 Corinthians 9:8 “And GOD is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.”
HIS Grace always makes sufficient provision for us “…in all things at all times.”
That’s HIS promised and sovereignly designed gift to each of us.
Ephesians 4:7 “But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of CHRIST’s gift.”
And 1 Peter 4:10 as well. “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of GOD’s varied grace…”
So with humbled, external service and not self service in any way, we shall abound in every good work which HE again designed for us from before the foundation of the world.
Our sought after blessings are then natural results which follow our surrendered acceptance and faithful use of HIS perfect provisions.
Ephesians 2:10 “For we are His workmanship, created in CHRIST JESUS for good works, which GOD prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
HIS Grace is exponentially far greater than “fate”! Hence, HIS Grace > “fate”!
Thus being eternally secured and providentially provided for, zealously abound then in every good work which HE assigned just for you!
Amen and amen!
