“Taking offense” from others is truly a most charitable act at its core.
In contrast, “giving offense” is then its mirrored opposite, even rotten to its core by comparison.
And yet today the latter seems the path more frequented.
With Speed’s highest priority, those “giving” then greedily grasp at such straws as though each intersection held treasure.
Instead! With Speed, “take offense” FROM each soul GOD leads to you!

How well we know both of those verses! “Turn the other cheek” and “love your enemies”.
So when it comes to another whose words might both “trigger” and “offend”, instead of GIVING the flesh’s rapid response of offense, take it quietly….for Love conquers a multitude of sins.
Luke 6:35 “But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the MOST HIGH; for HE HIMSELF is kind to ungrateful and evil men.”
