Exodus 24:10 “And they saw the GOD of Israel; and under HIS feet there appeared to be a pavement of sapphire, as clear as the sky itself.”
Clear Blue Reflections!
The “blue beyond skyscape” reminds us
of water. The clouds then as whitecaps windblown crest each wave.
But unlike such sapphire liquid in motion…there are no reflections returning our gaze.
But to lower one’s focus means on
decline and rather than soaring, steps
When their vision beholds only self then
what Loss! Therefore! Into HIS presence,
how shall one ascend?
‘Tis with Sight filled — expectant — of HIM
not yet seen; where the face of our LORD overwhelms as GOD’s SON!
Consequently, where gaze thee? To past
views or present? Choose rather the Future,
I say — when HE comes!
As HIServant looking steadfastly heavenward, intent on serving as HIS reflection,
Devotional: 2 Corinthians 3:18 “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the LORD, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the LORD, the SPIRIT.
When looking upwards, we can only await HIS reflection, not being distracted by our own.
Proverbs 27:19 “As in water face reflects face, so the heart of man reflects man.”
So with focus above, only Heaven’s gaze will reflect CHRIST! Look up then, press on! Mirror thy LORD!
Amen and amen!
