Non-Working Devices!
Do not let me fail THEE
nor grant these desires;
which favor my pride
yet betray perfect Love.
Do not let Self’s error
be found — entertained;
Do not permit this fools’
requests then — as such.
Rather teach me THY ways
and change me once more.
Cast all dross from this soul
and grant Grace through YOUR touch!
Then shall Compassion
lead forth without fail
as YOUR truth unveiled —
shown solely as Right!

Devotional: Psalms 81:12 “So I gave them up to their stubborn hearts to follow their own devices.”
Non-working devices, that is. Which is what our flesh is prone to use, often forgetting WHO made us sovereignly. Often forgetting what “devices” GOD gave us to use exclusively.
For instance, it’s like using a child’s plastic sand shovel to dig a 10 foot deep ditch. In like manner, our own “device choices” without CHRIST will produce (either similar or exact), “falling far short” results.
So HIS best and biggest piece for us to employ in this — Life’s puzzle — is Love. HIS love!
AND! When humbly displayed and wholly extended…we will joyously experience both!
Then, entwining the roles of Giver and Receiver, we find our completeness in GOD,
as such.
In that final stance, beloved, we shall be found at its pinnacle — without any non-working devices — eternally “Right!”
