Discarding “Comfort”; Embracing CHRIST!

Proverbs 16:3 “Commit your works to the LORD and your plans will be established.”

Discarding “Comfort”; Embracing CHRIST!

The resistance which CHRISTians apply to their missions is rather confusing. Perplexing — at least.

Why choosing a level called “surface” for study of GOD’s holy words is “head scratching” at best.

Know this then that HIS calling draws us yet complacent, from zones labeled “Comfort” and “Painless” — indeed!

Freed this in HIS service from our own constrainings; so choose such “off castings” before the LORD speaks!

As HIServant proactively reminding us both,

Devotional: How many of GOD’s servants that we read of in the Old and New Testament…had a unchallenged and comfortable life? Not very many. Few, in fact.

And what of the very footprints of our SAVIOUR? He faced conflict and contrast daily. We also remind ourselves that HIS footprints are there as our example to follow, yes?

So a poem GOD gave me many years ago ended with this thought. “Beloved, we must count it a blessing, a privilege and a blessing and a pleasure to suffer…for the name of CHRIST.”

Spiritually stretchless Routine and “standing still statue” types of service frequently decline into chains which prevent us from serving our LORD GOD to the fullest.

Know that whatever doesn’t challenge us to a deeper walk with CHRIST, utterly dependent upon HIM alone, will hold us back from that closer connection.

1 Peter 3:17 “For it is better, if GOD should will it so, that you suffer for doing what is right rather than for doing what is wrong.”

We can’t overlook the fact that it is better, as scripture here states, for us if we suffer doing what is right for and in GOD’s NAME.

Sometimes we have to be kicked out of the warm nest of “daily ritual” to be truly walking in HIS footprints in this uncomfortable, current time.

So prayerfully go, without undue hesitation or needless concern, and proactively find GOD’s peace and rest outside of the nest you’ve built, oh Self!

Amen and amen!
