The Empty Race!

Hebrews 13:16 “Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to GOD.”

The Empty Race!

The goal of each CHRISTian vessel has an ultimate point of conclusion. Each dash is thus followed by calendar numbers whose end is a time stamp on Life.

But those found to be full of Compassion; yea, of Mercy and Grace yet outpoured…are such whose retention gains no honorable mention, because such great blessings were stored.

Speaking now to myself most of all and to you, check within to each GOD given level…for those found in HIS sight to be closest… are light. Therefore live as HIS “near empty” vessel!

For GOD’s favor rests on those dispensing; to each soul giving more than most claim. Let your frame then be tipped till outpoured are CHRIST’s gifts. Then! Refilled shall you be — with your own!

As HIServant joined with you in HIS service,

Devotional: Proverbs 11:24-25 “One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want. Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.”

Many times we experience a bonus or blessing and thank GOD for HIS favor.

But how many first ask, “Who is this for?” Sometimes we store rain which HE purposed to be poured out on someone else.

2 Corinthians 9:7 “Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for GOD loves a cheerful giver.”

So dispensing HIS rain with a reluctant heart may help the other person but!

*** HE doesn’t necessarily follow up by refilling our vessel. ***

Isn’t that telling? Yes, there’s tax breaks/benefits in some instances but those pale compared to what HE provides!

2 Corinthians 9:6 “The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.”

Therefore whether sacrificing out of surplus or lack, HIS mandate is that we do so willingly…and with a humbled heart.

So take inventory of your jar and pray for wisdom as to what to give and to whom should it be given.

Know that HE WHO made us, knows what we have need of before we even ask.

So be ready with an open heart and extended hand for Giving more so than for storage!

Amen and amen,
