Comparatively Contrasting!

1 Thessalonians 5:20-21 “Do not despise prophecies, but test everything; hold fast what is good!”

Comparatively Contrasting!

A day without updates finds one’s Bible closed. Truth be told, even dusty, unmoving — unopened.

Still, within many heartbeats of self proclaimed CHRISTians are such unturned pages found bound in GOD’s Book.

Maybe flipped and skimmed through but “unlearned” such remain. Not comparing these moments to these  Truths which HE said.

So those watchful are reading and resting in JESUS with thoughts full of Scripture so they can “tell Time.”

And their eyes stay wide open both noting “the news” and HIS verses thus written! What views they then have!

To well educate teachers and students in tandem for some yet wear sand from their heads — often buried.

Friend! Despise not HIS WORD NOR use “blind eyes” at present. Keep watch AND keep preaching GOD’s “Good News!” with Zeal.

For you have been given HIS Script to warn others. Both brothers and sisters and strangers alike.

To retain HIS perspective still guiding your steps…then be certain to filter this world through GOD’s WORD!

As HIServant looking at both but focusing on CHRIST,

Whitney

Devotional: Ecclesiastes 5:1 “Walk prudently when you go to the house of GOD; and draw near to hear rather than to give the sacrifice of fools, for they do not know that they do evil.”

We must gather then to LEARN! Amen?

“Comparatively Contrasting” then is what CHRIST reminds me to daily do. So I do not walk or sacrifice blindly as a fool.

We must look at our steps, compare them to HIS in the WORD, and see where there’s contrast on our part!

There’s a saying that says “People can be so heavenly minded that they’re of no earthly good.”

That’s like WHEN we JUST look at HIS WORD! It’s like when Peter, James, and John were up on a high mountain top with JESUS….and Moses and Elijah suddenly appeared.

They were amazed and encouraged greatly I’m certain! But JESUS didn’t have them stay there. They went down the mountain to continue serving others.

So JUST reading and resting in the greatness of HIS perfect inscriptions is like JUST staying on the mountain top.

*** We must preach and teach HIS Good News in CONTRAST to the world’s fake news! ***

That only comes by going back down the mountain to help those whose eyes are yet blinded.

Consider that our anchor verses above 1st Thessalonians 5:20-21, tell us to “Test everything!”

Question: How can we test everything if we choose to ignore ALL of the test material or…whatever pieces we just don’t want to hear?”

Meaning: We see what’s going on and we do not hold fast to this world because it is not good!

But that doesn’t mean we turn a blind eye to the needs down in the valleys of life just to stay isolated on our own personal mountain top experiences.

There’s no filter need at those personal mountain top levels, is there? But in this world, where we do have tribu- lations, we sadly see countless deceivers and charlatans.

The only way to help others see them too is to adamantly “compare and contrast” these events coming to pass with GOD’s prophetic scriptures.

So a Day without Updates, is often the same time…just without any compare and contrasting.

Be wise of and to the World but be ye separate from it!

Let’s us go down the mountain and preach, CHRIST is coming! The Bible tells me so!

Amen and amen!
