The Lightest Cross!
Purge the pride within “I”
which does not deny self.
Cast it off as a snake whose
mere presence means trouble.
There! HIS Potters wheel
transforms and restores us!
There! JESUS, with fire,
removes human stubble.
So again, here Today
burn those robes called
“Self Righteous.” Abandon
“intentions of flesh!”
Thus surrendered and selfless
till “snakeless” as such shall
our souls sense release through
CHRIST’s unselfish love!

Devotional: Luke 14:33 “So therefore, any one of you who does not renounce all that he has cannot be MY disciple.”
Simply doing the math, we must then value JESUS above all else and daily carry the selfless cross of HIS servant!
Luke 9:23 “And HE said to all, “If anyone would come after ME, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow ME!”
HIS yoke is easy, HIS burden is light!
So by carrying our cross without accolade, praise or attention given INWARD…
…then we show by example that HE is due our all, even to the renouncing of all earthly things!
Carry then “your” Cross, bearing GOD’s great love instead of the “I” Cross
of Self!
