Psalm 33:18 “Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear HIM, on those who hope in HIS steadfast love!”
Open the Eyes of my Heart!

“Born someone else!”,
so many have dreamed…
for a face that is different
and also appealing.
But faces fade since
vision is fleeting. Thus
what good such change if
one’s heart shows not love?
Begin then “Within!”, with Compassion’s embrace, till your heart sees all others…
and they behold CHRIST’s!
As HIServant embracing who HE made me and reflecting Transparency so only HIS heart is seen,

Devotional: 1 Samuel 16:7 “But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him.
For the LORD sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart!”
This verse 7 in 1st Samuel Chapter 16 is perhaps one of the clearest points GOD makes about what HE sees and what HE prioritizes.
Outward, law-keeping, social gathering goals aren’t HIS focus. Rather “the Why?” which comes from one’s heart is what HE looks at.
HE knows we are just flesh because HE made us from the dust of the earth after the example of Adam.
But HE uniquely made us with a one-of-a-kind heart! And while we can’t change our face, HE alone DOES change the heart!
Only HE put the heart within us so as a measuring instrument, the inner hearts’ intentions and cries are at the top of HIS list.
And going off script for a moment, doesn’t this also speak to those bound
up by the law?
That group being filled with well meaning CHRISTians and fault-finding ones as well?
Do we see with HIS heart or our own, failing flesh?
Ephesians 1:17-18 “that the GOD of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, the FATHER of Glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of HIM…
,…the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of HIS calling, what are the riches of the glory of HIS inheritance in the saints…”
The eyes of our understanding seems to deal with the mind as a more direct physical connection.
But GOD! What does HE say? Luke 6:45 “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil.
For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.”
Out of the abundance of the heart…not the mind! Not what our eyes see but what we truly — deep down — believe!
Then! Then when the LORD opens our physical eyes, we can see what HE sees and trust HIM all the more, yes? Look at 2 Kings 6:17.
“Then Elisha prayed and said, “O LORD, please open his eyes that he may see.” So the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.”
The LORD unveiled HIS forces in the spiritual realm and the young man, Gehazi, was no longer afraid. So should we be!
No longer afraid! So look with your heart, oh Self!
Gaze intently at each soul with HIS love and assist with all your heart as CHRIST.
While some may take advantage of your charity, and some may watch the dust from your sandals be wiped off on their doormat,
Consider Matthew 10:14 “And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet.”
We demonstrate Love, HIS heart and give all we can, yet some will still reject our outpouring.
But take heart…literally!
John 15:18 “If the world hates you, you know that it hated ME before it hated you.” Keep moving in HIS love oh Self. Linger not with those constantly rejecting.
Rather! Press onward in Faith and wait upon the LORD with a heart which can truly see!
Amen and amen!
