Psalm 121:1-2 “I will lift up my eyes to the hills — from whence comes my help? My help comes from the LORD, WHO made heaven and earth.”
From The Hills!
The mountainous landscape slowly and lazily stretched out towards her.
By its clover-covered arms and flowing strands of edelweiss hair, so fixated her eyes were upon its fair face.
As the rising sunlight brought warm glows to every early morning surrounding, so this soul chose to pause, at last basking in the moment.
With each Light’s reflection cascading into this young woman’s insistent vision,
so the sum of her view told of more than just an earthly landscape.
For with breathtaking clarity, GOD’s sovereign handiwork had reminded her
of HIS wondrous, eternal promises!
With stunned excitement she then cried out, “Yea, LORD! YOU alone painted this unequaled masterpiece with super- natural brushstrokes!
Solely YOU WHO perfectly designed and created me to behold this picturesque grandeur!
So although my struggles have bloodied these hands and scarred this soul with Injustice’s thorns…
…from whence comes my help? I believe in YOUR WORD. Psalms 121:2 “My help comes from the LORD, WHO made heaven and earth!”
With a shout of Joy, thrusting her arms skyward, she fell to her knees in the grassy expanse.
And for a time, Silence was thankfully her only companion while she communed closely with the LORD JESUS.
Finally, with a soul deep inhaling of the crisp mountain air, she slowly regained her stance.
After a few moments had passed she then turned away from GOD’s canvas
to rejoin the rest of the tour group.
Most had already headed back to the
tour bus and even the driver could be seen impatiently waiting just to get
back on schedule.
But one other tourist had lingered behind and overheard her zealous expression
She appeared to be the same age and looked expectantly into the eyes of the one who’d just spoken Hope out loud!
As this pair paused with that “knowing” smile of fellowship, their warmed hearts simply nodded just like a reflection of GOD HIMSELF.
My help comes from the heights of Heaven and through those fellow climbers of HIS who speak up…to remind me!
May all who GOD intersects our path with upon HIS holy mountain say, just as the townsfolk replied, to the Samaritan woman who GOD drew to the well!
Psalms 46:5 “GOD is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; GOD shall help her, just at the break of dawn!”
Like Israel, HE helps us! What great spiritual depth perception! Seeing beyond Creation…to the CREATOR HIMSELF!
So let us do likewise quickly distributing HIS help “from the hills”…as HIS WORD directs!
Amen and amen!
