Hebrews 13:3 “Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.”
Discerning HIS Chains
The flesh wants the path of the most least resistance while our new nature strides through Oppression.
Yet this “lesser road” traveled yields greater complaints when Self looses ropes which once stayed us.
Restraining those running with deviant thoughts; HIS bonds — apprehending — are meant for our steps!
So, as bondservants blessed to be bound by our KING, let us walk with perception — discerning HIS chains!

Devotional: 2 Timothy 2:9 “Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the WORD of GOD is not bound!”
There are bindings which Man made and which the Flesh loves.
Addictions and cravings that are easy to obtain when we cast off the safe guarding ropes GOD uses to protect us…from us!
But GOD’s WORD cannot be bound…neither by others nor withheld by Self.
Jeremiah 20:9 “If I say, “I will not mention HIM, or speak any more in HIS NAME,” there is in my heart as it were a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I am weary with holding it in, and I cannot!”
All Glory to GOD!
So HIS chains come with Discipline and Self denial. HE directs us, as such, to walk with HIM always on the narrow road of Fellowship.
It’s a purposed path which finds us
side-by-side with JESUS, sometimes fellowshipping with HIM through our sufferings.
But other times, when we discard
HIS spiritual and physical protective constraints , we’re suffering needlessly outside of HIS will…and apart from HIS ways.
Hebrews 10:34 “For you had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that you have in heaven a better and an enduring substance!”
Let us look forward to our eternal freedom in Heaven! Let us preach unrestrained so as to free the captives of satan through the NAME of CHRIST!
