Proverbs 29:23 “One’s pride will bring him low, but he who is lowly in spirit will obtain honor.”
With One Another…
Being told to cut loose one’s heart attitude should — at the most — be
a one-time request.
If not selfless in prayer, believing in GOD…then shall others in contrast — still press.
For Pride in one’s Self is far distant from Faith which is placed on The ROCK, only JESUS!
For looks — self exalted — are those labeled “Proud” and are not part of what our LORD teaches.
So views that are “haughty” and filled with Disdain…now discard till HIS gaze we’re regarding.
There shall our vision behold HIM — uplifted when bent are our hearts
till HIS sight is imparted!
With this truth well safeguarding, stay humbled …and those others who see
you — see CHRIST!

Devotional: Proverbs 16:18 “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.”
Proverbs 11:2 “When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom.”
Proverbs 8:13 “The fear of the LORD is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance
and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate.”
So we rejoice in HIS WORD giving thanks for James 4:6 as well!
“But HE gives more grace. Therefore it says, “GOD opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
Bend both knee and heart, oh my soul, to the LORD!
