Philippians 2:8 “And being found in appearance as a man, HE humbled HIMSELF and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.”
No Victim nor Foe!
Daily putting down Pride
which gets picked up too quickly,
both attacker and victim
are found within Self.
So sure of our truths which
are separate from Scripture
there hang we our hats without
CHRIST’s common ground.
Yes, absent of facts from
HIS WORD, so we stumble;
falling down where GOD humbles
those tripping themselves.
For when boasting in HIM
then we stand on The ROCK
where HIS footprints are verses
and we are — unbound!
So false Pride’s smallest seed,
do not leave — unattended.
To HIM thus Surrender…to
run your race well!
As HIServant reminded by HIS WORD to cast off every step of Self defeat,

Devotional: Hebrews 12:1 “Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us…”
It’s the MIDDLE PART of that verse which stands out to me.
By laying aside every weighty sin like Pride, and by casting off its chains which easily trip us up, THEN!
THEN we can run this race in Life for CHRIST our risen LORD and humble SAVIOUR!
So remembering our “truths” aren’t HIS, and embracing self sacrifice and spiritual disciple to serve HIM, run your race well without tripping youseld!
