Sovereign Straw Selections!

Romans 12:10 “Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor!”

Sovereign Straw Selections!

For Comparison’s sake, take a handful of straw. Weigh each piece as if equal…for so they appear.

But how we address this mass measurement matters since some seem quite weighty whilst others feel light.

So CHRIST’s Light makes the difference and changes perceptions. HIS view of things guides our selections and timing!

So lead with Love’s Lightest — with Grace and with tact never tossing a “bale of straw” on one’s back!

Individual placement! This teach then to others so hopes are not broken and hearts become mended!

As HIServant weighing my own words, steps and straw placements,

Devotional: Colossians 3:17 “And whatever you do in word or deed, do all
in the NAME of the LORD JESUS, giving thanks to GOD the FATHER through HIM.”

Colossians 3:23 “And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the LORD, and not to men.”

HIS WORD is clear as is HIS heart. “Serve in love!”

So this is a followup of sorts to “Obeying Traffic Signs” which I posted 4 days ago.”

When we give the Good News to others, shouldn’t it be in Love?

When another is sharing their gift, shouldn’t they share in love AS WELL AS shouldn’t those listening have the same heart?

Each has gifts and we operate in love best when…. we continue to grow in our gifts first.

Is it loving and appropriate for the foot to try and “correct” the elbow?

They’re two uniquely different yet equally blessed functions.

As such, remaining in a learning pattern for our own gifts is far more loving than intervening in the “training” of another’s gift.

I’m not an athlete by any means. Even a quick visual assessment will prove that without doubt. 🙂

So for me to keep adding my two cents worth for someone else in an area that GOD’s not called me to…is that truly expressing GOD’s selfless love?

When such overlaps continue unabated and unchanged, aren’t those the times when the proverbial “straw breaks the camel’s back?”

Or to put it in context: Aren’t these the times when such “interruptions” break the other Christian’s’ back?

Spoken most of all to myself! Too often we move outside of our gifting and / or assignment…and get into someone else’s.

*** We wind up, even with the very best of intentions, throwing a few bales of straw on an already overloaded back. ***

And…would that be an expression of love that GOD exampled for us?

Would it be a WWJD, “What Would
JESUS Do?” moment?

1 Thessalonians 5:11 “Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing!”

John 13:34 “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another!”

So, starting with me, let’s lovingly RE-value our brothers and sisters by lifting them up in prayer — instead of stepping in front of them.

1 Corinthians 16:14 “Do everything in love!” Oh, my soul, heed HIS WORD!

Amen and amen!
