“Hide or Seek?”

Matthew 10:7 “And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand!”

“Hide or Seek?”

A vault is a leap or a stronghold;
a certain move forward
or bound within place.
Yet without any context, none
know the intent
save whoever made this word mentioned.

Then people took note once such detail
was further explained. Yet they still
“picked a side”.
Some chose this to mean they
should stay put — indoors
whilst the rest felt compelled t’wards
the Light.

So here are we drawn to the latter,
encouraging all…to step up
and outwards.
Since Eternity’s vault is our refuge
in Heaven let us then preach
HIS NAME now…outdoors!

As HIServant daily preparing Self and all others for the spiritual weather outside,

Whitney

Devotional: Matthew 5:14,16

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.”

“In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your FATHER WHO is in heaven.”

This is why we were each uniquely assigned specific good works to do for the LORD.

To be “outside”. To interact with both the Lost and the Found. To write, email, text and call others with GODly encouragement!

And for those whose mobility is still strong, go outdoors…speaking of GOD’s NAME and of the Heavenly vault HE’s taking us to!

Where no tears, no sadness, no pain or harm can ever touch us again!

THAT’s worth going outside! To seek HIS face in the face of others and to introduce the rest to JESUS!

So! “Hiding” indoors for church yet “seeking” outdoors just to go to work, entertainment activities etc, isn’t that a contradiction of terms?

As such, the age old spiritual dilemma which so many struggle with is found in these questions.

“Should I go to church today? Should I go pray with that person who’s crying? I hear there’s a covid lion in the streets so wouldn’t it be better if I just stayed home?

For instance, Proverbs 22:13. “The sluggard says, “There’s a lion outside! I’ll be killed in the public square!”

Finally, there’s just no end to this mindset and people too often.

Folks who quite willingly choose the path of least resistance before…before sincerely trying to press through!

So go outdoors and don’t be silent. Look for those in need and you’ll find them on every street which Fear says, “There’s a lion!”

So press outwards and soon you’ll find that the Lion of Judah is in the streets…protecting you!

Amen and amen!
