Serving CHRIST Alone!

Luke 9:23 “And HE said to all, “If anyone would come after ME, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow ME.”

Serving CHRIST Alone!

Our selfish ambition outside HIS — aligned…appears in lock step but its walk isn’t right.

It serves as this says. “May Self seize every credit.” Yet CHRIST knows such hearts. Therefore HE does not let it!

But many still press with HIS NAME as their label which gets them Attention by riding HIS coattails.

Remind then the Body and also ourselves that HE gave us this Life not to serve someone else!

For HE granted this Privilege before we reach Heaven so none need repent of Self’s focus within them.

So ahead of HIS coming and ere this page turns, let us selflessly serve — having ALREADY learned!

As just one of HIServants zealously serving CHRIST but without Self’s Ambition,

Whitney

Devotional: Matthew 23:12 “Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.”

It’s a daily faith walk exercise to keep the spotlight off of Self. It’s not about getting some church position, being noticed by other CHRISTians, gaining “a little bit” credit from something, etc, etc.

Luke 16:13a “No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other.”

“Church as a business” has really become a deceptive trap. People too often ACT like they do at work.

Still trying to get ahead, earn someone’s approval, DO the very best job using an external worldly measuring stick while rejecting what GOD uses.

The Heart!

The banner of “church growth/increase” has left many with the same distaste as they have for their workplace.

Self ambition’s pride is as sadly seen within the Body as well. For instance, “I…mentor these 20 people, I…lead this group, I…head up the next expansion for our church.”

I, I, I.

Proverbs 11:2 “When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom.”

So before HIS return for the Church, one and all must reset their own vision. We are all equal in HIS sight but given different gifts and good works to do.

So let none delay in simply serving CHRIST and quickly giving HIM all the credit — alone!

Amen and amen!
