John 9:7 “And HE said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing.”
Sent Forward!

YOU once loved us
like we were then transformed
us with YOUR presence
into “who we are today!”
…with YOUR love felt
drawing daily.
Never leaving one
behind in the mud
from which YOU drew
us…reborn by YOUR
compassion so we’re
not the same as then.
Repentance then
requires not returning
to the pig sty.
From such quagmire
we are saved!
As such, in hand so
stand with HIM.
Cleansed by HIS
healing waters…
“Set apart!” per HIS
instructions…
Staying distant from
our past…
Then! By our LORD —
let us remain!
As HIServant bent on never going back,
Whitney
Devotional: “He replied, “The man they call JESUS made some mud and put it on my eyes. HE told me to go to Siloam and wash. So I went and washed, and then I could see.”
Many went to wash in the waters
of Siloam.
The meaning of Siloam suggests that the water was gushing or being sent into the pool. and it was a pool built during King Hezekiah’s time.
So the pool of Siloam appears in one place in the Old Testament (2 Kings 20:20) and two places in the New Testament: John 9:7 and also verse 11.
JESUS healed a blind man and sent him to this pool for cleansing. Note CHRIST could have done the miracle instantly.
But in going to the waters which HE stirred remotely just for this blind man to be healed…
…so we have clear insight into the necessity of standing with CHRIST.
It’s just a question which I leave you with…to ask of yourselves.
“Since we are healed and “sent forward” from sin’s darkness, why would anyone go back…to being blind?”
Thank YOU for our eyesight watching for YOUR return, oh LORD!
Amen and amen!
