1 John 1:8 “If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.”
Without Footprints of Pretense!
No concept of right can
be held by those left;
those absent of scars
which the LORD alone
heals.
Though parroting
language CHRIST
spoke as if theirs;
…though acting as if
in their steps JESUS
walked.
Those who take every
wound and burn they’ve
inflicted on others as if
they’re the victim —
instead.
From such comes great
carnage like joyous exhales.
From these come
Death’s tolls with their
consciences seared.
For THESE must we
pray!! With the greatest
of zeal most especially
when their reflection…
is ours.
For! Equated with Sin
are the selfish of thought
…so though no stain seems
“seen”, we are guilty as well!
Then must we cast off
Self’s own righteousness
daily because only
CHRIST’s will suffice
in the End!
Thank GOD for the Cross which has cleansed — even me!

Pretense is:
A false appearance or action intended to deceive.
A professed but feigned reason or excuse; a pretext.
Something imagined or pretended.
Spiritual pretense and “self-grade carding” are both horrible facades.
It’s a tricky tool of the
devil and the flesh
which wrongly accepts
a mixture of self’s
present works with
HIS Finished work.
1 Peter 4:17 “For it is time for judgment to begin at the household of GOD; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of GOD?”
But GOD! Yes, thank GOD that our
guarantee of Heaven can’t be earned!
Thank GOD it’s all about HIS gift and our whole-hearted surrender to
HIM daily!
Romans 5:8 “But GOD shows HIS love for us in that while we were still sinners, CHRIST died for us!”
So let us serve quickly and selflessly, walking in HIS footprints WITHOUT any acting like HE walks in ours!
