Ephesians 5:16 “Making the best use of the time, because the days are evil!”
Choosing by Doing!
What’s free rarely
carries great value
like a handful of gravel
and absent of want
unless there was a
need which existed.
So measure both
giving and taking;
calculate costs for
your efforts and Time.
Noting mostly how
much is taken for Self
versus given with
For all that’s surrendered
for JESUS; wholly
done without self-
Gains greatest rewards from
our LORD GOD HIMSELF!
So! Exclusively “choose”
the LORD’s treasures!
Devotional: James 1:22 “But be doers of the WORD, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.”
It’s rather amazing to me that our time investments are so unevenly spent.
Even in church outreach, with lots of “Well meaning”, there’s great transactional “doing”.
1 Chronicles 16:11 “Seek the LORD and HIS strength; seek HIS presence continually!”
However, the heart’s intent behind these actions often isn’t on par with the blessing.
Take a recent outreach event my wife and I did together. We stood in a parking lot of a grocery store with signs of “Free Prayer”.
We had a very blessed time with about 10-12 people over a 5 hour period! (Please check out my early posts for all that happened :))
But “Point being!” What if our signs had read, “Free Car Wash” versus Free Prayer??Would we have had more than 10 people show up? Food for Thought!
But more important is the statement that JESUS makes! HIS free gift of Salvation and Eternal life IS PRICELESS!!
It’s invaluable and beyond any measurement!
And in this last hour, given that Eternity is at stake…shouldn’t the “just saved” be running to church with hearts afire…
…preaching and sharing what GOD just did for them by GIVING them HIS HOLY SPIRIT??
Shouldn’t the mature “Found” souls in CHRIST be equally on fire as they were when CHRIST first ignited our own spirit?
Yes, Yes, Yes!
Choose then a deeper walk with HIM by doing all that HE made you to do!
So TAKE, oh Self, your time and GIVE it readily in HIS service — shouting out loud…
“Though it cost me everything, I shall serve the LORD WHOSE rewards have no boundary. Praise the LORD!”
Amen and amen!
